I purchased this car in Alabama from 2nd owner. Original owner also lives in Alabama. Never been out of Tennessee since. No damage history. No rust. Original paint. Exceptionally clean car and mechanically sound, fun to drive. It has undergone some "Tender Loving Care", replacing everything you would expect on a car 29 yrs.old. Including: complete aluminized exhaust system (Incl. both mufflers & performance catalytic converter), both seats complete, all rubber seals and gaskets, new timing chain & gears,(other than the timing set the engine is original and untouched internally) water pump, fuel pump, new starter, new alternator, new battery, all hoses & belts, heater core, blower motor, all light bulbs (32 bulbs in the dash alone), HEI complete w/wires & plugs, vacuum hoses, both vacuum solenoids for headlights (headlight doors operate quick & smooth), Speedometer sent in and recailabrated to 160mph, complete new braking system (pads/calipers/lines/master cylinder/etc.). Tires have less than 5,000 miles since new. Interior color is oyster. Has keyless entry with remote, Glass T-tops, PS,PB,PL, Air conditioning blows cold air ( been converted over to R134-a gas).Could not resist a pr. of highly polished cast aluminum valve covers with engraved corvette flags, besides looking good they are less prone to leak. 350 engine runs strong (L48), auto trans shifts smooth yet tight. Has locking torque converter (new for '80). Undercarriage treated with rust proofing. U-joints tight, steering tight, emergency brake works well. Much of the rubber weather stripping has been replaced. It runs and drives like new. Paint is original, has small cracks which can only be seen up close (2-3') typical for fiberglass, still has good shine, dash pad has a small crack on drivers side. The motor on the motorized radio antennae does not work properly, but it can be raised and lowered manually. Thought I would never sell this car after such an investment, but can no longer afford the non-essentials in life.
