Added to Registry 05/04/2013 Mileage: 5,907 miles This car was purchased in September 2009 with a salvage title. The engine had a fire, which was extinguished, before damage was too extensive. Car was complete by May 2010 with a clear title and became a weekend getaway driver. Only put about a 1,000 miles on it. This car is an eye catcher and at first glance appears to be perfect, but it does have a few issues. The good: Mechanics and undercarriage 1.Frame is solid 2.suspension is good 3.steering is tight and handles perfectly 4.braking is perfect. I replaced the rear drum brake pads and front brake disc pads, also new brake seals, and vacuum brake booster. 5.Transmission came with the car. Works like it's supposed to. 6.Tires have about 1,000 miles on them. With no burnouts... I wouldn't do something like that. Engine and under the hood. 1.Engine runs fine it's a 350 not a race car, but not a slouch either. 2.Always stays at 195 degrees, will not vapor lock or overheat. Has a fan shroud and a thick gasket under the carb. I've cruised in Lincoln when it's over 100 out and the car just doesn't overheat. 3.All wiring is correct and some is new. 4.Headlights go up and down and work, has new hose. 5.Windshield wipers work, and washers did work... not sure what happened to those, but there's a new bottle and hoses. 6.Heater works great. Cosmetics 1.Car looks amazing. Paint is fairly new, always garaged, well taken care of, and waxed. 2.Tires are blackened and polished. 3.Beauty rings are polished and shiny. 4.Love the side pipes. Shiny and polished as well. 5.Interior looks like a brand new car. 6.All glass is good. Sound System Is a 2010 Sony Xplod stereo. Has two mid size speakers in the back and sounds great. The bad, what you might pick apart, what I don't like about it. -Engine uses a little oil, Power steering cylinder leaks a little, Carb runs a bit gassy, Is geared low better for town driving than highway, but will still do over 120 mph. Firewall was redone with a fiberglass kit. -Body work isn't perfect on the front clip, small impression about the length of a dime can be seen on passenger side if looked at in right light, but not that noticeable. Has a few rock chips mainly on part of body that door closes against. Has a couple bubbles on front clip, they are barely noticeable and you really have to be looking to see them. Has a spot of clear coat off about silver dollar size on passenger side bottom against door. Beauty rings have a few dents in them. Side pipes have slight heat discoloration closer to engine. - Doesn't have a knob stereo, so a square hole was cut in dash, burn hole in carpet by gas pedal (you have to be on your hands and knees to see it). -no a/c This is a great car that'll run you for years without doing anything too, or if you want could use a little tlc here and there. Ready to go and drive... I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country. Cash only.
