The car is finished in Ontario Orange over a black vinyl interior and features power steering and brakes, a Delco AM/FM radio, a factory alarm, and more. Power comes from a numbers-matching 350ci LT1 V8 paired with a numbers-matching Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 3.55:1 Positraction rear end, while modifications include stainless steel brake calipers and an Edelbrock carburetor. New weather stripping for the doors, T-tops, and rear window is said to have been added in 2019 along with a replacement front bumper support and transmission lock cable. This chrome-bumper C3 is offered with a build sheet, manuals, partial service records, a car cover, and a clean South Dakota title in the sellers name. Approximately 2,300 Corvettes were finished in Ontario Orange (987) for 1971, and this example was reportedly repainted under previous ownership. Cracks and chips in the finish can be seen in detail in the gallery below. New weather stripping was reportedly installed for the doors, removable body-colored roof panels, and rear window in 2019. Painted 15 inch Chevrolet Rally wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and are mounted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Power steering and brakes were optioned from the factory according to the build sheet in the gallery. The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and retains a stock Delco AM/FM radio and switchgear and factory-optioned UA6 alarm. Center- mounted instruments monitor oil pressure, water temperature, and amperage. Just over 70k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, approximately 6,700 of which have been added by the seller over 37 years of ownership. The 350ci LT1 V8 was factory-rated at 330 horsepower with 360 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was reportedly rebuilt in June 1997, and an Edelbrock carburetor was fitted by the seller to correct hot start issues. The stock Holley is included in the sale. An oil and filter change was performed in 2019. Engine number 71S100620 is shown stamped above and matches the VIN tag, which can be seen in the gallery below along with other stampings.
