Car history:
1969 Chevy Corvette Stingray, NOM Big Block, 54,000 miles, T-Tops, power
steering. I purchased this from the previous owner who had the car for over 12
years and gave me a 3-ring binder with over $16,000 in receipts for purchases to
restore the car. The frame on this C3 vette is one of the best I have ever seen;
no rust anywhere. Same goes for the birdcage and a pillars. The engine was new
in May of 2010 and has KB forges pistons, new rods, rings, cam, lifters, balanced
and assembled for $1950. The heads were surfaced and a complete valve job for
$715. The interior is nearly all new. Headlights, wipers and all the gauges work.
Even the clock was rebuilt and keeps time. I believe the mileage to be correct as
the owner told me it was and the 10 year old Kelly Charger tires look like new.
Car runs and drives like new and cruises at highway speed comfortably with a
lower ratio posi rear end. There is only one issue with the car. The transmission
shifts fine and accelerates without slipping in all gears. When using engine braking
to decelerate in 3rd gear the shifter comes out of gear back into neutral. Again, all
shifting is fine and you can drive in 3rd gear with no noise, but it slides out upon
decelerating. I didn't find it was a big enough hassle that warranted removing the
tranny at this point. Simply resting your hand on the shifter prevents it from
sliding out. Call Randy at: 607-351-4660 as this is my wife's account and I don't
check the email as often.

The engine is a 1974, 454ci with casting number 3999289. Heads are 3904390
oval port 396/427ci. The crank is 3904815 396/402ci. Trans # is 3925660, I have
to get back under the car and see if it is #'s matching. I Purchased the car this
way and don't have an estimate on horse power. I never heard of putting the
shorter crank in a 454 but I guess the previous owner wanted to make close to
427ci. The engine was built by RCG CNC Blocks INC. in Warriors Mark, PA. Thanks.
