Up for sale is a beautiful 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 427-435hp, 4-speed, red/black, restored and ready to go. Details are as follows: Body: The car has the original body. Small flares were added to accommodate larger wheels and tires. I found NOS ¼ panels and had them installed before painting. The car was totally stripped of all paint. Original bumpers re-chromed, all window glass was removed and replaced with dated new. Stainless around T-Tops was removed and buffed to a fine polished finish. All new weather strips was installed on car. New Coker Red Line Radial Tires. Frame: It retains its original California frame, with many dated original components. Front suspension was totally rebuilt, original dated Rear Trailing Arms were rebuilt, Rear End rebuilt with new 355 gears, still retains original 411 stamped housing. Frame was stripped of all suspension parts, lightly sandblasted and painted on car. Appears to be a body off the frame restoration. Underside of car totally cleaned. New gas tank and NOS sending unit. New gas shocks, car still retains its original front & rear F41 sway bars. All new stainless Master cylinder & brakes with all new lines. Interior: Car still retains its original dash pads and dash components. Some gauges were rebuilt and or replaced with new correct ones. Radio was rebuilt and new speakers. New heater core and hoses. All new interior pieces purchased from Al Knoch Interiors, seat covers, seat buns, carpet and pad, door panels, glove box door, new consoles, front & rear brakes. Seat belts & rare shoulder belts were professionally restored to as new condition. Car still has T-Top covers and T-Top strap’s in rear. Jack & handle are stored in rear also. Drive Train (Motor): This Corvette still retains its original 427-435 HP motor, correctly dated block and heads. Carbs are older service replacements, professionally restored. Stock exhaust manifolds with off-road exhaust system. Motor was totally rebuilt 3 years ago. New cam, pistons, rings, bearings, valves. Motor originally came with 11 to 1 compression, 10:25 pistons were installed to run on pump gas. Rebuilt water pump with all new hoses and radiator. Car still retains stock transistor ignition, distributor, T-I box with new wiring harness. This 1968 Corvette has had an extensive restoration performed on it over the last 5 years. It is an original Red/Black 1968 with a limited production 427-435 HP motor and rare shoulder belts. The car was done with driving and enjoyment in mind. Inspections are encouraged and welcomed.
