EARLY 1971 CHEVY CORVETTE STINGRAY WITH T-TOPS.
Lets start with the engine. This is a 383 " stroker " OE block-but bored out, aluminum aftermarket intake. Excel distributor electronic, converted to mechanical to run the tach. 650 Edelbrock carb, new radiator, cowlings, headlamps completely new.
An air conditioned car with new condenser, compressor, ac hoses (converted to R134A) belts, wires, hoses, vacuum. wipers and doors (lights and wipers). Front grilles are new. Perfectly tuned -but not dynoded to see exactly how many horse power she actually has! Chrome Hooker headers.
Ok, to continue, underneath, all bushings down to the body mounts, Shocks, brakes, rotors, pads, hoses, calipers, bumper guards and grilles are all new. Car has been aligned with state of the art Hunter alignment machine
The interior has new carpet, door panels, dash pads, bezels, battery compartment, battery, seals, lighted and keyed glove box, T-Tops center panels, shift panel console, park brake console, new seats all properly royal blue .
My other 1971 vette I had in high school was always hot (but who cares when your 18) so we put six piece heat barrier kit under the new carpet.
Data console and shift console plate is new, all new hardware screws and fastners and all new seals. Door panels are new. Windows are Astro ventilation. Painted in 2010. 400 automatic transmission rebuilt in 2010.
This car has the tallest hood available, and the engine does fit nicely without interference from the engine height (We removed a 2 inch riser-which the new owner may have.) The only thing we did not do is put a radio in it as everyone wants different music. We would be happy to do that for the new owner.
Check it out-every picture tells a story. This is an amazing car!
