2) THIS....is a very rough body REAL LT1 car. It was a theft recovery car many years ago, and has a rebuilt title. The original VIN is in place, and untouched, but the officers peeled the rear deck to get at the frame numbers by the #4 body mount. This is a BIG project for someone, but the frame is perfect, and the birdcage is extremely solid w/no rust issues. The original engine, and trans is missing, and the rearend for the car. There are welded brackets of steel on the gas tank crossmember for electric fuel pump/filters, so this car was drag raced at some time in its past, and that may be where the original rearend went....ka-boom. This car has the original shift plate, 6500 redline tach, and the original transistorized ignition amplifier is still in the car, so it is real. This car needs redone, but it is a solid, very solid foundation. The seats are driver quality, and the top, and lower dashes are pretty nice. It needs carpet, and door panels. The glass is all good, and the rear pop out is all there, but not the tray. This is a original war bonnet yellow w/black interior. No AC, but has soulder belts, PS, and PB. I am including a 1970 010 truck 4-bolt main engine that runs, and has about 60k on it. Also, a 70 muncie from a Corvette w/hurst shifter, and a original shifter. I have the bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, throw out, and the fork. The Z-bar is still hanging in the car, as is the original exhaust. I am also, including some used Hooker sidemount headsers, and tubes. They are not perfect, but clean up decent, and okay for a driver w/a fresh coat of Blk header paint. The egg crates for the sides are there, and the front grills are perfect. I have all the bumper brackets, and the rears need rechromed, but have a nice front one for a driver. This is pretty much a complete car, and yes it needs alot of work, but could be a running project w/just a engine/trans install. I am including a nice set of old school Mickey valve covers, and a brand new Torker intake w/a used Holley. Whoever did the bodywork on this car should be shot, but it can be saved. I have brought worse cars back to life, but if you are wanting to go back to original, then I will give you all the glass at my cost. I think that I have a better rear taillight panel up in my loft, but not sure. I DO NOT have a rear valance for the car, or the exhaust bezels. A rebuilt title means the car was wrecked, or in this case, was a theft recovery. This will never ever be a NCRS car, but if someone wants to get into a bumper car project, and have the bragging rights that the car is a real LT1 car, then here you go. I would part the car, but the car is a REAL LT car, and the steel is super nice. I bought the hood off this car a little over a year ago. 1) 108,500 miles. Seen on www.c3vr.com on March 13, 2008. |
