| For Sale: 1977 Chevrolet Corvette This vehicle was part of an estate sale. It is in running and driving condition. Engine runs good. It has a Holley 4 BBL. The water goose neck should be resealed with a new gasket, it weeps a tiny bit of water. The A/C Blows nice and cold and the Heater has a brand new heater core. The drivers side lower A/C duct is missing. It doesn't affect operation and I liked it that way!(most a/c Vettes are missing this duct too!!) BTW the carb should have an idle solenoid. It idles very low when the AC is running. The carb does have the bracket for it. I would just flipp the AC off when it seemed like it was idling too low at a light. Transmission shifts good Headlights work, they operate freely. Factory alarm does work but the hood switch should be replaced. It is loose in the housing and sometimes it goes off so I do not set it. The Power windows work. It has T-tops (the top have scuffs and scratches from being in the rear storage area) like all t-top cars its fine in a mist or light rain but a down pour they will leak. I have never had a Vette of this bodystyle that the t-tops didn't leak. The paint is fair but has stone chips here and there. You could get by touching up the chips and wheeling the paint. I would replace the wheels/and tires as the chrome is pitty and the tires are worn oddly and cause feedback in the steering. As far as the chrome on the wheel a little steel wool and elbow grease would make them more presentable. It is a nice driver. Since the car is an estate item it is sold as-is no warranties Buyer is responsible for any transport costs. |
