09/19/2014 It is in excellent condition for its age. It runs, drives and stops just as it should. This is a great entry level Corvette. You can take it to any Local car show and Cruise in with Pride and it will fetch you the occasional trophy. Its a great weekend car but could easily be used for everyday driving. The Head lights work fine and go up and down with no problems. The car has many options. Power steering, power four wheel disc brakes, tilt-telescoping wheel, rear defrost, power windows, power locks, power antenna, cruise control, Air conditioning that has been converted to R134a and works just fine. It was delivered with a ETR 8 track stereo and was upgraded at the dealership with the ETR AM/FM Cassette tape with citizens band (CB) receiver. This was as good as it gets in 1981 and it all still works today! There is also a Fox Radar detector that was professionally mounted it the car with no visible wires. It still works but I doubt it is compatible with todays technology. I think it is just a cool period correct accent to the car that has probably been in it almost 35 years. It has two tone paint, aluminum wheels, Black leather interior and mirrored T-tops. Body: The Body is very nice with no cracks and has never been hit. The car was repainted 13 years ago by the original owner and still shines very well today. There are a few paint chips on the car but that is to be expected. The underside of the car is nice with no rust issues. There is some surface rust of course but no nothing more. There are no holes or soft spots that I can see. The rims All shine well and the and the B.F.Goodrich radial T/A tires are all in good condition. Interior: The interior is exceptional, it has only one crack in the lower drivers side seat that is not very noticeable. I do have a spare seat that is the same to go with the car, so you can pop the bottom out of the Vette to get repaired and still have one to use in the meantime. As perviously listed it has Many options that all work with the exception of the power window issue. I do not think it is anything major though. The air conditioning is cold for the days when it is to hot to take the T-Tops out. The cigarette lighter still works so charging your phone or mobile device is no problem. Engine: The car still retains its original drive line. It is number matching. The motor is the base L-81 350 Cubic inch, 4 Bbl. It is bone stock and unmolested, it looks and runs as it should. This motor is rated at 190 H.P. which I admit sounds a bit boring by todays standards but it really is fun to drive. It has an automatic transmission and a limited Slip rear end.
