Posted 05/15/2016 1982 Corvette, looks good and drives good as well. Interior is pretty good with the only bad spot is passenger seat needs covering, carpet, dash and driver seat good. Tops in great shape and fit snug. All glass good, no rust, body in good shape with a couple bad spots on paint but no cracks in fiberglass, nose solid but has scratches and paint coming off in spots, wheels nice, brand new tires. Car drives well but has been sitting so every time I drive it, it runs better with the additive they put in to flush out bas gas in lines but starts right up and runs good. Air works well as well as heat, all lights work well, headlights work but come up slow, shop says they need to be adjusted and lubed, maybe a new vacuum line. Car drives and stops nice. Here are the new things done to car: Tires, transmission rebuild, tune up including plugs, wires, distributor, oil, battery and cable, most bulbs, brakes pads, calipers, rotors, bearings, some bushings, vacuum lines, tank flush and I am probly forgetting some stuff. Things it still needs: driven more, muffler was replaced before I got it and was never welded so it sounds weird, valve cover gasket on passenger side. Tach bounces or doesn't work all the time., timing corrected for more power, passenger seat cover, and paint where the paint is chipped or scratched, antenna was damaged in shipping. This is a very nice Corvette and with a little time you could have a great car that is almost all original except radio. The car has a rebuilt title and in all my research I cannot figure out why, I have copy of title search and the car has no thefts or accidents but title is clear and ready to go.
I have had this car checked out and it is straight with no rust and complete and you could drive this thing anywhere. Very reliable and very nice, a hit at any gas station I have stopped at but I am not a Corvette guy and got this through a deal so that is why I am selling. |
