Car history:
1977 Chevy Corvette Stingray C3 Coupe. Very nice example of an original, low mileage, 4 speed Muncie manual transmission, a/c optioned Corvette. The original mileage is 41,177 miles. This was the last year of the vertical back window C3 body style. There were 49,213 C3 coupes made that year. Just 5,967 were sold with the light blue paint option. And only 2,060 were sold with the 4 speed manual transmission option. Back in 1977 the original retail for a base model began at approximately $8,648.00. The NADA lists low retail as approx. $8,717.00 average retail as approx. $12,545.00 and high retail as approx. $19,915.00. The car is currently titled and registered in Massachusetts, and can be driven anywhere. Everything is stock original with the exception of the upgraded Corvette aluminum valve covers, Hurst 4 speed shifter and more aggressive sounding Flomaster replacement mufflers. The pictures were taken at the beginning of February. The paint and body are in very nice original condition, with some fading of the body paint. The front and rear bumpers have the original but faded paint. The only damage to the body is to the lower front fender cove on the passenger’s side. Please see pictures. Things that are needed: interior front carpets replaced, a/c does not work, rear radio antenna replaced, clock does not work. There is a hole in the driver's side seat back, please see the pictures. Voltage gauge does not work, but charging system and battery are just fine. Fuel gauge bounces back and forth, probably a bad ground on both voltage and fuel. Has not been looked at or checked. Things that were done within the last 1,000 miles: new calipers with pads, front and rear replaced, new windshield replaced last week. Clutch and pressure plate were replaced and fly wheel was resurfaced approx. 7,000 miles ago, along with new transmission and rearend gear oil. The car comes with approx. $3,700 in receipts. The car was always owned by older adults and well maintained and preserved. The rally rims and tires are fine. The tires have about 2,500 miles on them and are like new. The car runs, drives and tracks well. Drive it anywhere. The receipts add up to around $4000. Whoever buys this will be very happy. The car was always serviced at the dealer or garage maintained, no previous owners ever performed any of the work on this car. Headlamps operate properly, no worries with this car.
