| You are looking at a few photos of a 1969 Corvette 427/435 relic! The car was modified by the original owner using parts he ordered from "Baldwin Motion" back in the early 70s. When you see this car, it is like drifting BACK into the good-old days of real American-made HORSEPOWER!!! Apparently, the original owner sought maximum power... so the tri-power was replaced with an Edelbrock X manifold, it has an early version Hurst "Super Shifter", a no-longer-produced Mr. Gasket "GUZZLER" fuel pump, a Lakewood Blow-Proof bell-housing, a Baldwin-Motion Traction-link bar, Sheiffer clutch, and an 800 Holley Double pumper... along with who-knows what else? The engine is a FACTORY REPLACEMENT 427. Original engine must have met a failure, so it was replaced with this DATE-CODED 1972 assembly. The heads are from the original assembly. Modifications made were for safety as well as performance... but back in the 70s!!! I am listing this vehicle for a friend that is getting OUT of the hot-rod thing. but if you are looking for an almost "virgin" 427/435 'Vette... THIS is you! It is an un-restored, PERIOD-CORRECT Corvette. Might have been re-painted... but it is not obvious. For some reason, I cannot get pictures to upload. Thank you for looking at this collectable 427/435 Corvette. $60,000. March 3, 2012. |
