Added to Registry 07/07/2013 Mileage: 62,179 miles This is not your "typical" '81 Corvette!!!!!" I purchased this vehicle from a local Corvette collector in November of 2007. The car was is very very good condition and really needed nothing, but the nut that I am, wanted to make this car better than it was when it was new. The car was stripped down and repainted its original silver color (note it was still silver when I purchased it) and all brand new emblems were put on. Now where I really went a bit overboard..... I completely removed the entire interior of the car and replaced everything brand new parts, there were a few items that I did not replaced so I just refinished them to new condition such as the seat pans. I did not replace the guages, and speedometer, tachometer unit. Some of the highlights on the interior restoration. Full leather seats including the bolsters Full leather door panels, not the vinyl ones that came from the factory. Take a look at the pictures they will speak for themselves. I also replaced the factory wheels with the ones that are on the car in the pictures, but still have the original ones that will be included with the sale as well as the original factory radio that I kept. Mechanically the car is solid, I had all the seals and gaskets replaced, had it tuned up and it runs like a top. The car sits in my carpeted garage and there are no leaks whatsoever. Also the entire brake system was done in the summer of 2012. I also added Jet Hot Coatings Side pipes and headers of which are the only modification on the car, and with this coating they do not get super hot and burn your legs. The pictures also show an aftermarket steering wheel.....THIS IS NOT ON THE CAR RIGHT NOW. It has the original year steering wheel that I purchased brand new, so it is the correct one. Thanks
