Car history:
1970 Stingray T-top Auto-trans from the estate of the second owner. In 1988 he retired & purchased the car from the original owner. 2008 Rebuilt : carb - brakes - calipers front & rear. 2008 New : Master cylinder - headers - exhaust - freeze plugs. Since 1988 this car has only been used for summer cruises and getaways. Please see 6/17/2010 condition evaluation / inspection listed below with photos. This is a roadworthy car and performs great. Test drive was fun & no problems. Always garaged & maintained since purchased from original owner. Chrome & emblems in very good condition. Slight chrome pitting starting on rear fender corner. Typical paint chips & road wear for a car this old. Tilt-steering wheel. Air conditioner included but is not on car. Center console needs alignment for aftermarket radio. Passenger door sticks out 1/8 inch. No leaks on t-top. All rubber seals soft & flexible. Most service records & parts bills included. Extra parts & literature in photos included. Plastic radiator shroud is missing. This car is very easy on the eyes and fun to drive, however it does have a bit of history so the following needs to be disclosed. Original owner had accident in early 80’s with damage to inside area where hood closes under the windshield wipers. Repaired & re-painted Marlboro Maroon. Original color was Corvette Bronze. I cannot see any damage to outside area. It would seem after the accident, the odometer was not re-connected, and to this day has not been re-attached, so true mileage is unknown. The odometer reads 99,240 and has since 1988. We think that the engine was replaced after the accident as well and it has been found out that the engine # has been removed. This car is not restored and will be a great daily driver, or possible candidate for vintage racing. $12,000. 9,240 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is F16.
