This modestly customized 1976 Chevrolet Corvette has that trademark look that will get it attention
everywhere it goes, and with a few subtle modifications, it stands out even among a vast ocean
of similar cars. A distinctive, fun Corvette with a 383 Stroker motor and an overdrive transmission.

The dramatic shape of the Stingray needs no augmentation to be a traffic-stopper, but with a few
neat tweaks, it turns into something that grabs your attention and won't let go. Sure, you've seen
the shape before, but with this coupe, viewers will spend some extra time looking it over simply
because it's just a little different and they aren't quite sure why. Up close, you'll see that the
Classic White paint is showing its age and is probably due for a respray, but it's forgiving to work
with and Corvettes are easy to paint, so consider it a value-added upgrade. Up front, there's a
chin spoiler from a later model, as well as that towering cowl induction hood, giving it an aggressive
look, something that's only reinforced with the shiny chrome side pipes. Add in some red pinstripes
to highlight the car's dramatic shape and you get a car that's just bursting with potential.

Inside, it has the same kind of spin on the original theme. Instead of plain red or black, the
interior gets a combination, including black and gray buckets that are grippe and comfortable,
even on hot days. A set of 4-point RJS harnesses were added, mostly for the race look than by
necessity, but this isn't your average C3 'Vette, either. The door panels, dash and center console
are all red, just as they were originally, and appear to be 1976-issue. Options include power
windows, A/C, and a tilt/telescope column with a 4-spoke wheel, so it's easy to get comfortable
here. The speedometer and tachometer are in round binnacles ahead of the driver, with auxiliary
gauges in the center stack above the original AM/FM stereo radio. Pull off the T-tops, turn the key,
and hit the road!

Powered by a 383 cubic inch Stroker motor, this Corvette is no slouch in the performance department,
either. You can clearly see where all the money was spent, with beautiful workmanship and brand
new components throughout. Up top there's a big Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor on a polished
intake manifold, and the K&N air filter makes use of that big cowl induction hood. It's got Chevy
Orange paint on the block, a trick billet aluminum accessory drive with a serpentine belt, and the
valve covers are engraved to emulate the vintage Chevrolet script covers of the past. They took
the time to get everything cleaned up before the engine went back in, then hitched it to the original
700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and the original rear end, so it is a superlative high-speed
cruiser. The stance is exactly right, with just a bit of a rake to emphasize its performance intentions,
and with those flashy 15-inch chrome wheels and 225/70/15 Michelin radials it looks fast just
sitting still.

This appears to be a high-dollar project where work was halted before the cosmetics could be
addressed. There's way more than the asking price wrapped up in the mechanicals alone, so look
at this as a great opportunity to build an incredible car with all the heavy lifting already done.
