| This gorgeous dark red metallic 1970 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is located in our Louisville KY showroom. Many will consider 1971 the beginning of the end for the horsepower wars. With unleaded gas becoming the standard and smog regulation's tightening, there were an increasing number of hurdles for the big three to jump through. This would also explain the reason that would mean the end for the Vette. Boy was they ever wrong, as the nameplate is still going strong, with only a minor interruption in 1983. This '70 now has a stinger style hood, usually reserved for big block Vettes, it really finishes off the exterior look. With the simple turn of the key the later model 350 small block Chevy engines comes alive and you can tell you have very nice running stingray. Mated to the 350 engine is a turbo 350 three speed automatic transmission. Overall, this '70 Vette just drips with coolness, and will even keep you cool with the AC. Take the T tops off and you will be ready to cruise on that next spring day. You can even pop out the back glass and store it in the hidden compartment to give you the closest feeling to a convertible you can get. The interior is as nice as the rest of the car and is in good condition with the black complimenting the beautiful metallic red exterior. The tilt telescoping wheel gives you a ton of options and allows taller as well as shorter people enjoy the ride of this classic beast.
