1) Check out this very solid 1968 Corvette convertible barn find. Car had been hibernating since 1994, but with a little bit of love, currently runs and drives. This Corvette is equipped with its original 4 speed transmission, and its original vinyl removable hardtop. It also has a soft top, making this a 2 top car. Recent work performed on this Corvette includes: - Good used gas tank installed - 4 new Stainless Steel Sleeved brake calipers - 4 new rubber brake hoses - New Interstate battery - New brake master cylinder - New spark plug wires - New points & condenser The engine is not original to the car, but the transmission is the original unit, and seems to shift well. Engine seems to run very well. This is a great Corvette for a father & son project, for something to tinker with on nights and weekends, or whatever else you can think of. The frame is in very good condition. There are some cracks in the body panels that will need attention. This Corvette is far from perfect but it is a great candidate for a restoration. This is a very complete car. Again, it will need restoration work, but the keys for success are present. If you're looking for something to restore, or a little rough driver to enjoy while you prepare to restore, this is a great Corvette for that. Ratty classics are all the rage these days, and this one sure fits the bill. The possibilities are endless. $12,568 (RnM) on August 1, 2017. |
