| 2) First year of the body style, and the first year coupes came standard with removable tops and rear glass. This car is not on the wild side of the option sheet. That does not mean that it is not a great touring machine. The 327 has plenty of power, and the automatic transmission is tight and smooth. These milder cars will actually age better than the radical ones in most cases. This one is very user friendly, low maintenance, and ready when you are. It checks out great on the lift and drives like a dream. Low miles. Great shape. Numbers matching. We are a full restoration shop. Sold for $23,000 on May 17, 2018. 1) 1968 Corvette Coupe, 327/300 horsepower, auto, A/C, power steering, power brakes, &AM-FM stereo. This car is a new Stingray trade-in. The previous owner purchased the vehicle in 2000 and spent the next 10 years restoring it. The body was stripped, gelcoated, sealed, primed, and had a basecoat clear coat paint job in the original British Green. The engine and transmission were rebuilt prior to purchase and were believed to have only 1,200 miles on them in 2000. During the restoration the following items were replaced with new parts; all belts and hoses, power steering pump, front and rear shocks, brake master cylinder, rotors, pads and lines, headlight actuators, fuel pump and lines, correct replacement Rochester Quadrajet carb, new fuel tank and sender, A/C compressor, hoses, expansion valve, evaporator, heater core, wiper door actuator, battery and battery cables, exhaust with stainless steel tips, tach and speedometer cables, oil gauge line, clock, antenna, speakers, headlight switch, ignition switch, dimmer switch, door panels, sunvisors, carpet, floor mats, correct leather seats, t-top storage bags, mirrors, glove box, storage compartments, emblems, stainless steel luggage rack, and 4 BFG white letter radials. The car has been driven/enjoyed for approximately 4,000 miles since completion. While the car is not a frame-off restoration, one look at it will tell you it has been lovingly restored to an above average condition. It's one of the best driving C3 Corvettes we've sold.
