Car history:
This is a 1981 Corvette, it is not perfect or original. It was originally red (75) with a medium red leather (752) interior and a 4 speed transmission. It now has a 1973 350 and a th350 transmission. The engine has newer TBI center bolt heads with '87 Corvette magnesium valve covers. It has a true dual exhaust. I am not sure what brand of mufflers they are but they sound like Flowmasters. It has pwr windows & locks, tilt & tele wheel, rear defogger, Alpine CD player w/4 Crossfire speakers, pwr antenna, a/c and t-tops. I changed the interior from red to black 3 weeks ago. I installed brand new black seat covers with new seat foam and brand new black carpet from Wilcox. The rest was dyed black with dye I bought from Mid America Corvette. I also put 4 new Cooper Cobra 255/60/15 tires on it and they have about 50 miles on them. The battery is about 8 months old and is a Duralast Gold from Autozone. The bad. It needs minor body work and new paint to look perfect. I replaced the RH headlight door and it is just primed. The headlights do not go up and down with the headlight switch. The previous owner had replaced the headlight actuators and some of the vacuum hoses but some of the hoses look old and cracked. A set of new vacuum hoses would probably fix them. The a/c does not work at the moment, I have never looked at it to see why but everything seems to be there. Also the horn isn't working at the moment but I think the horn relay is bad. The tags and inspection sticker are not current. The previous owner mounted the t-top headliner pads with small screws, and the vinyl is coming off of the passenger side. My reserve price is below the low retail price that is on the NADA website. I have a clear Blue Texas title (title shows rebuilt salvage - loss unknown) in hand and in my name. For Texas residents, I will supply a title application form. Residents of another state can send me the form or forms I may need to fill out as the seller. The odometer shows 67, 000 miles.
