| Car history: |
I am offering this car for a very good friend of mine, below is Bill's description of the car... The car is located in Bellevue Washington and has been in inside storage in Bills shop in Seattle (Shadowflight Restorations) since he got it from the original owner and did all the customization work on it... This car truly has to be seen to be believed... The workmanship is truly second to none, and the paint work in particular is Pebble Beach quality... Pictures do not even come close to doing this car justice... Starting with a bone stock, one owner 1973 Corvette, bought from the original owner Bill created this custom masterpiece... note that the car was never wrecked, but Bill being the guy he is and having the skills he does, could not leave what otherwise was just another sit up and beg Corvette (low enough miles mind you but stock) alone... He created one amazing car... The car is sold in AS IS Where Is condition... Please look closely at the pictures... if you have a question about anything please, let me know, and I will get you in touch with Bill... The leather work is stunning and the interior is completely finished including around the lovely split window installation... Note the full crossover Nascar styled exhaust... The sound is amazing... Any questions please email or call Jim 425 238 5317 Pacific time zone not after 10:30 pm my time or before 8:30 am please... If I do not know the answer I will get Bill to call you... please take note, He is a superb body and paint man but not a mechanic... Shipping expense is totally the responsibility of the buyer, I am happy to help make your arrangements if you like, I know a number of car haulers that are all very conscientious. Both open and enclosed hauling is available, please note that all our enclosed is through Fed Ex Custom Critical Care...
The following are Bills notes on the car...
1973 Corvette / 350 automatic This is a low mileage car. (58,000 mi) It was purchased with 26,000 miles on it from the original owner, a personal friend in 1994. Shadowflight has done quite a few "show cars" and this was done for the owners wife's for her personal car. Custom features include: The nose has been shortened and updated. This includes removal of the pop-up headlights and replacement with a covered, more aerodynamic style. There are driving lights behind the grill and fog lights on each front corner of the new front end. There are louvers directly over the front wheel arches that extract air from under the car which creates down force. The coves on the sides function also. They remove incoming air after it has cooled the engine and then they draw it out the sides, as opposed to pushing it underneath which would create lift. There are brake cooling vents both front and rear. The wheel openings have been flared to accommodate the newer style, wider wheels and tires, and the calipers and wheels have been painted to match the car. The "Split window" fast back is, in fact, taken from a 1963 Corvette, and with some effort, made to fit and look correct. The hood has an adaptation of the "Stinger". The rear spoiler has been raised a bit to create some down force at the rear. There are now two Corvette tail lights on either side, and the back-up lights are in the rear bumper behind the screening of the exit vents for the cooling air for the rear brakes. There is a custom handmade exhaust that scavenges extremely well, but still will create back pressure when you need it for braking. The exhaust system required the removal of the spare tire, and a heat shield installed to insulate the gas tank. The heat shield, of course, has been painted and pin striped to match the car. The engine has been "lightly" breathed on by a highly regarded Corvette race car mechanic. The car has been lowered an inch all the way around, because, as they say "Praise the lowered." The interior has been done in black leather with blue inserts on the seats, and blue piping up the console onto the dash where it meets up with and continues across the tops of the doors across the back and up the center bar of the roof to the windshield. The carpeting is also custom made in black and the floor mats have also been piped in blue. The stock, photo impregnated vinyl wood work has been replaced by "book-paged" real wood created by a noted wood craftsman. It also has a very nice stereo system installed, as well as power door locks.
