| Car history: |
| I have had this car for a very long time. I have the title (clear title) and and it is my name, but have not been to DMV in many years so it is most likely out of there system. also have a used 454 hi output engine original and 3 barrel carb set that came with the car, It has a 350 in the car the 454 is in storage. I bought the car is about 1976, with a 350 engine in it, which is in it now (It was a 427 tripower (three barrel carb set up) when new). I got it after a 350 4 barrel was already in it with a muncie 4spd and drove it that way several years about 10 years and then stopped driving it. In the 1980s It has somewhere over a 100k but not sure of mileage. My brother in law had a 454 chev high output engine with a factory chev 3 barrel intake manifold from a corvette in his boat and sold it to me. I did not check if all of it was true but he was in to hot rods and a truthful guy and said he sold another tripower manifold set up around that time for 2k so I thought it was a good investment. I thought some day I would install it but never did. He said the engine is from around early 70s (I remember it has hipo stamped on block and he said it has the big ports). So what I said by original it is a original chev hipo 454 and the original type of tri carb set up and manifold used on those early vettes. Most likely the carb and manifold came from a big block chev in those years and maybe a corvette I am not sure. The 454 most likely from another car. I don't remember chev. using tripower on 454 s ? but I not a expert. But the engine this car came with new was a iron block 427 most likely. This is a old car that was sitting behind my place in the weather for many years has drive train there but is not a matching number # engine to car set up. It is as you see it a sleazy neighbor ripped off some of the parts so it is how you see it and nothing more. The engine and carb setup has been in storage inside. I am not trying to rip anybody off. I just want to get close to what the car and engine set up is worth. If someone bids on it and puts down a deposit and comes and looks at it and does not want it, thats fine. September 21, 2015. |
