| 06/18/2014 This is a beautiful 25th Anniversary Edition 1978 Corvette. Only 34,412 actual miles on this Florida titled car with original motor. This Vette has always been garaged and was acquired from a deceased family member back in 2012. It runs excellent and is mechanically sound. The paint job on this Corvette is not original, though it is the original color scheme. The passenger side has a scrape along the front quarter panel and passenger door, and there are small paint imperfections on the hood. I have included pictures of this damage. With a new coat of paint, this Corvette will look as good as is sounds and drives.The oyster interior is in fantastic condition. The leather, vinyl and carpets are in impeccable shape and everything works electronically except for the power antenna and a temperamental clock. This car has a lot of bells and whistles; power windows, original working radio, and was very luxurious in its day. The best part is how it drives. It fires right up and handles as a mid-70s classic Corvette should drive. There is no other experience like riding in this Vette with the T-Tops off and your hair blowing in the wind while everyone looks at you in envy. This Corvette has a new General Motors warrantied A/C compressor though the system experiences some refrigerant loss. The exhaust system is all new too. No accidents, straight, and clean. It is an exceptional survivor with great potential for someone to take it to the next level of restoration. A great find when there are so few Silver Anniversary Edition Corvettes on the market today. |
