3) This is a car that people dream about owning one day a black on black Stingray Vette with a manual transmission! Under the hood of this bad boy sits a small block V8 that runs incredibly healthy and well. Bolted to the block is an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor. This Corvette also features chrome valve covers and air cleaner that accent the engine bay and black car very well. The black exterior paint is in excellent condition and has been polished to a brilliant shine. The chrome bumpers and polished rockers are in outstanding condition as well and accent the black paint nicely and compliment the 17 inch American Racing polished aluminum wheels. This car also comes with newer Goodyear Eagle Sport tires and she is ready to hit the road. Finishing it off is the black vinyl manual convertible top that is in like-new condition. The black leather interior is in outstanding condition as well with only minimal signs of normal wear and tear. The stereo has been upgraded with the all-new RETROSOUND Digital vintage unite to provide upgraded technology, but still, maintain that nostalgic tradition look. All the gauges and indicator lights appear to be in working order, and if you look closely, you'll even see the analog clock is still ticking! Finished it off is an A/C system to keep you cool on those sizzling summer days! This car is the stuff dreams are made of, and it will be nearly impossible to cruise this baby around town and show up at the next Corvette Car Show and not have a smile on your face! Ended on June 20, 2018. 2) Triple black 4 speed with power steering and power brakes and tilt telescopic steering wheel. Runs great and has magnaflow mufflers which are not too loud but have a great deep rumble. Car sounds great. Drive this car anywhere. Excellent brakes. Does not overheat. Starts every time and choke works perfectly. I am tempted to call the paint excellent but has a few minor flaws upon close examination. I assure you that you will not be embarrassed to take this car to local car shows. Car has after market air conditioning but it needs a charge. Block is correct casting number 3970010 with 350 c.i. but not original engine. Appears to be a crate engine with un stamped engine pad. Edelbrock alluminum intake and 4 barrel carburetor. I am not sure of the horsepower but car runs very strong. NCRS shipping data shows car was delivered 5/20/70 to the Chevrolet zone office in Detroit Michigan. May have been a promotional car or used by a GM executive but no documentation is available. All instruments including the clock work. Lights go up and down and wiper cover and wipers work fine. New rally wheels and tires from Coker Tire Company. 77,578 miles from the odometer. BiN $31,900 but no bid at starting $28,500 on February 12, 2018. Sold for $28,000 on May 24, 2018. 1) I am the 2nd owner of this car and purchased it in 1994. Rebuilt the necessities to be in showroom condition. I haven't had any serious mechanical problems and just had a new whindshield installed which was due to a rock flying from a quick fly by truck. This classic sits under cover in the sunshine state of Florida. 76,449 miles. November 23, 2009. |
