Car history:
Red exterior, code correct Black vinyl interior. 270hp 454ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission. Originally assembled on October 4, 1968, this 1969 Corvette Big Block is in very nice condition, and comes with the desirable 4 speed manual transmission. This car's paint is in very good condition, looking to be somewhat recent, with a very good shine. Original paint code is 980, and an L88 style hood has been added to this car. With the exception of the windshield, all exterior glass shows a correct date code. Chrome bumpers look to be slightly older reproductions, and are in very good condition with the slightest hint of patina. Exterior door handles look to be somewhat recent, and are in very good condition with a very good condition finish. Weatherstripping looks to be recent, and is in very good condition as well. Taillights are in fair to good condition with two of the four units showing typical hairline cracking. This 1969 Corvette Big Block wears a set of rally wheels in very good condition, with good to very good condition trim rings. Center caps are in fair condition with a few dings and some pitting. Tires are BF Goodrich Radial T/A raised white letter, showing an average of 8/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this car shows good condition vinyl seat covers redone in the leather pattern, and recent appearing door panels and carpet in very good condition. Gauges are in good to very good condition with minor fading and very good condition lenses. Dash pad is in fair condition with a crack on the passenger's side; center console is in good condition with no cracks, although the shift plate seems to be missing its paint. Seatbelts look to be recent, and are in very good condition. Steering wheel is in good condition, and a Custom Auto Sound AM/FM/Cassette stereo has been added as well, in addition to a Hurst shifter. Storage bins are in very good condition with no cracks. The engine in this 1969 Corvette Big Block shows casting number 3999289, original casting date August 31, 1971, and final assembly date October 4, 1971. Suffix is missing. Based on this information and according to nastyz28.com, this engine was originally installed in a 1972 model year Chevrolet car or truck. Chrome additions to this engine include ignition coil, upper radiator hose, air cleaner, and valve covers. Intake manifold shows a casting number that would be correct for a 1972 Corvette 454, and wears a remanufactured Quadrajet carburetor. Frame appears to be solid and rust-free. Call us now before this big block is sold! Features include 454ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission, tilt-n-tele, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, L88 style hood. 6,602 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Assembly date is B04. $29,990. October 19, 2011.
