| 1969 427 390HP Matching Numbers engine and transmission Corvette with 71,XXX original miles and owners history dating back to 1981 with title. Until recently this car had not been driven since 1981 because the last two owners did not fix the worn out clutch and complained the brakes were bad (Calipers). I personally spoke to both owners and the mileage can be verified! The vehicle owner history stops at 1981 because that owner purchased the Corvette from the Atlanta Advertiser a local car trader magazine. This Corvette was built on September 11, 1968 with block casting 3955270 with suffix code LM 4-speed, Rochester 4BBL, Hyd. Lifters. The Corvette still has most of the original code 974 Monza Red paint and has Trim ZQ4 standard black interior. Recent Work: Tune up, rebuilt carburetor, fluids flush, new header gaskets, new calipers, pads, brake lines, new gas tank (No tank sticker on the old tank), sending unit, trailing arms rebuilt, new mufflers, new Firestone Redline tires, beauty bands, caps, body bolts, heater core, new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. The engine runs great! Frame very solid! Surface rust only! The car needs: New Carpet and seat covers, Paint, Passenger door has two holes where mirror was attached, The front spoiler is damaged, A frame bushings, Clutch pedal rod (previous owner extended clutch rod instead of replacing clutch) No kidding!!! Needs factory Rochester carburetor (Has Holley carb), Exhaust manifolds (Has headers), Factory exhaust (Center pipes were cut to add header collectors), Chrome gill and hood inserts need replacing or refinished, Needs new C O R V E T T E lettering on rear of car. Options: 427/390HP Big Block, 4-Speed, 3.36 Gear, Power Steering, Luggage Rack. 71,000 miles. September 11, 2008. |
