| 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L46 roadster. This car was another future project that the St. Louis Car Museum will never have time to tend to and finish. This car was allocated from San Jose, CA with blue plate registration dating back to 1990. It was completely operable when purchased and just in the beginning stages of being prepared for restoration. All of the exterior trim and chrome is accounted for. It is a true, number’s matching L46-350ci/350 horsepower roadster with two tops, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and 4-speed manual transmission! Original paint color is 983- Fathom Green with interior code 420- Saddle Vinyl. This extremely original car has never been through any past restoration, outside of one repaint to Daytona Yellow, and will still have the original California smog equipment with pump and Astro-ventilation side glass. Here is a list of primary engine numbers: Engine casting number: 3970010, Engine cast date: H 7 9, Engine VIN stamp: 19S727605, Engine date stamp: V0813 HX, Data tag built date: M19, Rochester carburetor: 7029207/ 1599. We have checked and found no remaining evidence of a tank sticker on the gas tank when looking with a flashlight. We also want to mention that the spare tire, jack, and wrench are also missing. This in the first year for the 350ci V8 engine and the high performance 350hp upgrade is an extremely fun car to drive! With less weight to drag around, and far better cooling capacity, this car represents a great performance inspired sports car with the benefit of a drop top design!
