| You are looking at a 1972 Corvette with matching number original engine. This car runs and drives very well, it is currently registered and has been used on a weekly basis. It will need TLC, could use paint and some other fix up but can be driven as it is. The interior is in good shape and the engine and 4 speed transmission are in good shape as well. Exterior wise, the paint is older and is fading. The body has a few small stress cracks and the left rear fender flare has a crack in it. A paint job would do this car wonders! It has a brand new set of tires and has cragers. It has a 70s era set of hooker style sidepipes, the left one has a crack and should be welded. The car has it's original bumpers and grill in fair shape, these could be polished up again. It has an L88 hood to go. Overall, the car looks cool and is fun to drive even though it's not cherry. The interior is in fair to good shape. The seats don't have any rips or tears in them and I believe these will clean up nicely. The carpet is in good shape with no major holes, obviously not new. The door panels are both in good shape and both windows go up and down and all locks and pull handles are in good shape. The dash is in good shape with no cracks. All gauges work with exception of the clock and the tach with most likely works, but the distributor is now electronic and not gear driven. The speedometer works great and the odometer reads 91,704K miles. The rear storage compartment are in good shape, it has a case for the t-tops that is brand new in the wrapper. It has a pioneer supertuner 3 cassette player with 2 speakers in the back and new antenna that needs to be installed, sound good. Mechanically, this engine runs great. It has a matching number engine with 4 speed transmission that shifts great. It has new brake calipers and pads and a new fuel tank delivering the gas. The car steers well and has been used regularly. I drove the car on the freeway about 50 miles the other day in traffic and at speeds and it ran and drove great. The car steers very well. Headlights pop up and go down properly and all running lights, headlights, turn signals, brake lights all work as they should. Motor suffix code is CKW. February 27, 2008. |
