Well it's time I part with my "Pride and Joy", as much as I hate to see this car go to a new owner, that it must. I recently got divorced and need some money to start over again. I am second owner on this car, and it has spent it's whole life in northern Florida before I acquired it. For the past 14 years it has held the Queen position in my garage and has never seen rain since 1996! I only hope that there is a buyer out there who can appreciate what has gone into this car, and "Give it a Good Home".
About the car: This car has had a complete frame "ON" restoration, over $25K invested, have receipts for all parts and labor put into it totaling $25K. Have certified appraisal from 1998 for $25K. Pictures speak for themselves, if you are looking for a really nice C3, look no further, this car is the one! I have been told by NCRS judges that this is probably the nicest C3 restoration in the south. Have received numerous 1st and "Best of Show" awards, a "Top 40" award at "Vettes at the Village" 2001. Two "First Place" in class (Original "D") awards at Ecklers. These awards themselves speak for the quality of this restoration.
Engine: has had a complete rebuild with .30 over bore, new pistons, cam, lifters, connecting and main bearings, new seals and gaskets, and more. Engine and engine bay fully detailed, OEM ignition shielding, OEM hoses and belts like original. Heads have received multi angle grind, ported and polished intake and exhaust, etc. Transmission: has been resealed and shift kit added. Factory block code and VIN stamp visible, Transmission VIN stamp visible.
Brake system: 4 - stainless steel sleeved calipers, new brake pads, rotors, flex brake lines, master cylinder, brake booster, also new wheel bearings, seals, and grease caps (OEM).
Interior: new leather seat covers and pad, carpet, and door panels, everything else on interior is pretty much original. Tach, speedometer, and all gauges work, original am/fm radio works, as do wipers, headlight up indicator lamp etc. Interior rear view mirror has been re-silvered. Storage compartments in rear section are in tact and functioning. Basically the interior is just as it was when the car left factory.
Exterior: This is a no hit car. The factory paint and primer were chemical stripped down to gel coat. PPG urethane high build primer (3 coats), PPG urethane primer sealer (1 coat), PPG urethane white (code # 10L - classic white) (3 coats),PPG urethane clear coat (5 coats), color sanded and buffed to smooth high gloss. Head lights replaced with new halogen sealed beam, all new bulbs interior and exterior, new marker lights, tail and backup lenses, new nose and fuel door emblems, new side script (stingray), way too much more to mention.
Underbody: New exhaust system, and mufflers, new drive and half shaft U joints, shocks, grease fittings, power steering cylinder, fluid block, and flex lines, new brake fluid (dot 3). Moderate underbody detailing.
I am sure I have missed a bunch of other items done to this car, but you get the idea. I did this car over as a show car and it has done really well in that area, and I have the awards to prove it. (The awards go with the car). Since it's completion in 1998 this car has logged approximately 8,000 miles. I have clear title with documented mileage as listed here, this is NOT a 100,000 + mile car, in it's entire life it has logged only 77K + miles. |
