Here is a Collector’s Grade 1973 Corvette Convertible – Absolutely rust free and unmolested. From an Alabama collection and was owned for over 25 years by the same gentleman. This is a Matching Numbers car with just 70,308 miles (correct mileage) still has its original 350 cu. in. engine (#13S401169) and rarer 4 speed manual transmission. She Runs, Drives, Shifts and stops great and stays nice and cool. This is a very nice survivor with original one year only 953 Metallic Yellow paint and all original 400 black vinyl interior. This car has all of the right stuff to become a $40,000.00 roadster with the cosmetics done. This roadster is very “tight driving” and has had a lot of recent maintenance and upgrades in the last two summers including: New original style complete Exhaust System from the Manifold back to the exhaust tips and everything in between is new. Brakes – Calipers serviced, New pads, New rotors, New Master Cylinder, New rubber lines and the E-brake works as well. Yes the head lights work fine New Front bumper cover as the old one was ready for normal replacement after 37 years. New Springs and Shocks front and rear New Wheel Bearings and Seals New Belts & Hoses New Spark Plugs, Wires, Coil and EGR. This collector maintained the critical drive train, brakes, exhaust and Suspension and although she gets serious thumbs up, she is in need of the cosmetics. The car has always been garage kept. The paint needs re-doing but deserves a high- quality Paint job. There is one small area in the rear where it looks like years ago some backed into a curb and the fiberglass has easily fixable damage (just to right of the passenger side exhaust tip). The convertible top should be replaced as there are a couple small splits on lower driver’s side. The convertible top frame is in very good condition. The carpet is in good condition but the car deserves excellent carpet I would replace it. The driver’s seat has a tear but we have purchased like new OEM grade Upholstery for both front seats). The Seat Upholstery kit along with a set of replacement seat tracks will go along with the car so the interior although very nice will be very economical to restore and again you are definitely starting with the right car. The driver’s door arm rest has some vinyl cracking. All of the locks work with the key. The Dash board looks Excellent with no cracking. The Glass is all in good condition with no cracks; the gauges work except the clock. The car still has the original am/fm radio which has never been removed and still plays perfectly. Original spare tire still in place under the car. She starts right up and drives very nice and the drive train is tight. The original Frame and radiator support are rust free. All suspension mounting areas are 100% rock solid. The doors shut very nicely and line up right. Again just 70,308 miles since new and a 4 speed to boot. This Corvette Convertible has been garage keep and is garage clean, it’s Engine runs Smooth and Powerful, with Smooth shifting 4 speed manual transmission. Garage kept and the soft glowing interior lights are still working when the doors open. This car has the right stuff!
