I recently bought a new toy, so I will not have room for this one! I spent the last 2 years enjoying this ride and hope someone else will treat her with respect! I bought the Vette from a member of the Corvette club of Chicago. He had recently purchased another Corvette and similarly wanted it to be treated well. Over the last 8 years, he and I have combined to put in over 20k in upgrades while driving her less than 3k miles. This is completely customed out. Looks fantastic. The interior is mint except a small tear on the side of the drivers seat. New in 1999, Door panels, carpet, seats. It drives better than new. The engine has less than 3,000 miles. It is a Professionally built 350. The trans is also new with less than 1,700 miles. Everything on the car mech. has been replaced. Winter of 2007 D & M Corvette in Downers Grove, IL put in a New heater blower motor, all switches, and rebuilt and replaced both power door locks. In May 07 we installed brand new Hooker Side mount headers with stainless steel mufflers. $1200. AND Brand new 17" Gran Sport 17"x9.5" wheels with 275x40x17 Tires and Vette Brake Products wheel adapters. $1600. We have spent over 20K on upgrades the past 8 years. I have all the receipts. The sum of all the parts is worth more than the car. Hooker Sidepipes with Stainless steel mufffler inserts $1800. Off set trailing arms,rear wheel bearings, Vette Brake Complete suspension Ultimate Handling Package, Front Spredder Bar, $2000 Balanced 355 Small block Dart Heads,etc. $3800 Balanced trans $2000 Headlamps with extra Covers $700 17" wheels and tires, with Vette Brack Adapters $1600 I live in Chicago and only have room for one toy in the garage, I actually already had this shipped to my friends performance shop in Cincinnati, OH last fall. I really am trying to avoid the storage fees and don't want to just see her sit. This car handles fantastic, it's fast, it's loud, it's hot. Complete custom headlights, Lemans style, no longer being produced, with an extra set. There are a few minor issues: 1. Drivers side window power is not working. Probably ground. If needed I can get an estimate, it is at a performance shop right now anyhow. 2. There are a few paint chips in the front, at the last parking garage up here someone bumped me. Not bad, but could use a touch up. 3. The front under body kit split, it's fiberglass and easily fixed. This car is awesome. Turns every head, even in downtown Chicago, it gets more looks than the porches and Ferrari's. It is a custom, loud street rod.
