| Car history: |
1973 Chevrolet Corvette 'Survivor'! This is a true barn find car that had been sitting for years. Would you believe this car is still wearing its original paint? It is! You can see the factory bonding strips on the front and back of this car. Corvette enthusiasts know how important this is. Even the dealer sticker is still on the back. Original door vin stickers are still there too. That is what I like best about it. No after market front clip, no bondo hiding damage, no crappy paint job that you would have to strip and re paint. The frame is nice and solid too. It is a 350 non original motor 4 speed car. The original M-21 4 speed is in the car (matching vin#). Car runs and drives. I just replaced all the brakes with new rotors, calipers, hoses, and master cylinder. Brakes work great. Now that I have said all that. The car does need 'Total' restoration. I removed most of the interior pieces, most not restorable. I did keep them and they come with the car. Seats need repairing and re upholstering. There is some small rust areas in the doors. Nothing that is not repairable. The front bumper was dry rotted and I replaced it with a brand new Tru flex front bumper. This is great car to restore. I am sure I am forgetting to mention things so if you have any questions feel free to call or email me. I can also take any pics you may request. I know how hard it is buying a car from afar. You are welcome too come see the car and I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I am very realistic on the price in todays market and will end the auction for the right offer. Thanks for looking! Pete (954)-675-6090. Car is located in North Carolina! I still have my S. Fla cell phone #.
Forgot to mention I put a new fuel pump in the car. Looking underneath the car everything looks to be original ball joints, shocks, mounts etc.. This stuff is almost 40 years old and should be replaced. The car starts up great runs and drives but again needs restoration. Spare tire and cover are there.
I want to try to answer some of the questions.
Engine # looks to be V1102TDR (stamping on front of block behind water pump) New Battery in car New Sending unit in gas tank Door glass is in doors and they go up and down like they should. Not all the dash gauges work. Again needs restoration. Drivers door handle is missing a piece so it needs to be open from inside. Vacuum headlights need help going up.
If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them all. Call or email me.
