I recently traded for this 1982 Corvette Collector Edition. I was going to keep it but I found a 73 Firebird that I've been after. The car was originally delivered to a dealership in Alabama but spent most of it's life in Texas. Appears to be an original mileage 52,716 car but most states now won't let you but mileage on titles for cars this old. Georgia will only list it as mileage exempt. Cars retains it's original paint, decals, interior, drive train, and most suspension components. A few things have been repaired/replaced over it's life but it's basically untouched. "Bubba" hasn't had a chance to get into this car. The paint is really showing it's age, specifically the front fenders and hood. The doors look good as does the rear fender areas. You could get away from just painting the front for a driver. A car bra was used by previous owners and that rubbed some of the old clear off. There is also defects in the nose and some paint has lifted off. There are not any fiberglass cracks. No rust thru on the undercarriage, there is the normal surface scaling that you'll see on a 30 year old car. Everything is solid and you get a nice "ping" when hitting frame rails and etc. The birdcage looks like new. Cross fire engine is running good. Looks like master cylinder recently replaced and a few other small items under the hood. Headlights go up and down with the right one being a tad slower than the left. A/C and heater work, A/C blows cool and still has R12. All accessories work except the power mirrors, the drivers side one is a little loose in the housing. The cruise control isn't working either. Original cassette AM/FM radio. Power antenna stuck in the up position. All gauges work except the oil pressure, I believe it needs new sending unit. When I got the car it still had Eagle GT+4's from 1992 so it now has brand new tires. I also had an alignment done but the guy didn't do a great job. Steering wheel is still slightly off center and to the right. I have a new driver's side sunvisor and repair kit, header molding (original is cracked) , and interior paint. It wasn't a garage queen but the miles aren't too high either. You can drive as is or take it to NCRS levels. Your choice. I'm starting the bidding at $7,500 with no reserve. So if you bid you will own this car. Vehicle is being sold "as is" without any type of warranty. Clear Ga title in my name.
