Car history:
1970 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster (code 67), 1 of 6648, Corvette Bronze (code 993), Interior Black (code 400), Factory Delco AC RPO C60 1 of 6659, Power Steering RPO N40, 1 of 11907, Power Brakes RPO J50 4 wheel disc, 11.75, Factory Rally Wheels, 8 x 15 (5) RPO P01, 350 CID RPO ZQ3, w/10.25:1, 300 hp @ 4800, Muncie 4 speed RPO M21 close ratio, 12 Bolt Positive Traction RPO CAM G81 w/3.36:1, Tilt - Telescoping Steering Wheel RPO N37, 1 of 5803, AM - FM Radio RPO U69, 1 of 14529. This is a numbers matching vehicle, very original. There has been one frame off repaint with original factory code 993 color. The engine has been completely rebuilt to OEM spec's. The Muncie M21 gearbox has been completely rebuilt to OEM spec's. The 12 bolt posi trac rear end was completely rebuilt. All drive line componits were done by Nicole Racing. The hard internal and external parts were inspected, proven to be in good shape and or replaced with OEM parts as needed. All seals, gaskets, bearings, bushings, synchronizers, o-rings were replaced with new OEM parts. The carburetor was completely rebuilt. The four piston braking system lines, calipers, pads were replaced with new parts. The drive line parts, axles, exhaust, brakes, master cylinder, fuel lines, brake lines, all suspension ball joints, bushings, bearings and front end steering parts were replaced with new. All of the body bushings were changed before the body was placed back onto the chassis. The chassis was cleaned, primed and painted. There was a new complete OEM stock exhaust system installed with new pipe hangers. The factory Delco AC was reconditioned and blows cold air, the heater works as well. The car was restored to factory OEM specs. The steal factory intake was replaced with a light weight aluminum intake to reduce weight and improve engine performance. The factory distributor with points and condenser was replaced with a solid state ignition that requires no setting of the points and creates more efficient start ups and better engine performance. The engine is fitted with a Holley carburetor. This Stingray Roadster is riding on four P235 x 60R x 15 BF Goodrich Radial TA white letter tires on the numbers correct factory OEM wheels. The spare tire is also on a factory wheel. The spare tire cover is included and not pictured to show the fresh undercarriage. The 1970 model Corvette was the second lowest production model year to date, due to a strike at the GM plant. The lowest production model was the very first production year. There were only 6,648 Stingray Convertibles (code 67) built for the 1970 model year with an additional 10,668 Coupe models (code 37) built . Because this is one of the lowest production years and that fact that it is basically the last year for real power and compression, these vehicles will always appreciate as a collectable classic sports car and muscle car. The vehicle is housed inside out of the weather and has had no physical damage. BiN $54,000 (Ended) on August 31, 2016.
