1) Submitted for your consideration is this very highly restored 2-owner 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray T-roof Coupe in the highly coveted Hunter Green. Vehicle was originally a barn-find missing engine, but otherwise mostly complete/intact. Current affluent elderly owner undertook a pain-stakingly detailed 7 year very high end restoration which resulted in a nearly flawless finished result with the best of everything in the last 2 years. A brand new GM 350 (355HP/405 Torque) Crate Engine was installed for a very correct appearance/ performance. Manual Transmission and Rear End were professionally rebuilt by a well known area Nascar Consultant in the course of restoration. Just about every aspect of this restoration was new or otherwise rebuilt for a very factory stock appearing like new result. Only 125 miles has been put on this example since the conclusion of its restoration. EXTERIOR: Exterior finish is flawless (literally). I haven't seen a more detailed paint job quite to this quality in some time now. Incredible example. Panel fit/finish are flawless. Paint is correct for this vintage and has a deep shine (likely better than new). All exterior lighting works as it should. Any/All brightwork is new new new overall. Lift-off T-roof painted panels are in great shape. Standard Mirrors/Manual Antenna intact. Undercarriage looks as good as the exterior. INTERIOR: Just about every aspect of interior is new. This includes Dash, Tach, Rebuilt speedometer, all instrumentation, Leather Interior, Carpet & padding and door panels. Colors match consistently with original throughout. The Seatbelts are originally routed thru the tops of the seatbacks, but were not done on this at the time. Seat trim is all brand new and was not notched out at top to plumb seatbelts thru opening. This of course can still be done rather easily, but was never sufficiently important to owner to remedy. Seatbelts are in place and otherwise work as they should and can still be plumbed seamlessly thru the seatback as original. Colors are very vivid in interior like new in every respect. MECHANICAL: Engine is N.O.M.; GM Crate Engine (355HP/405 Torque) and is correctly stock-appearing. Engine roars to life easily, sounds correct, and runs flawlessly. Manual 4 speed transmission shifts as it should. No known mechanical issues. No unusual sounds. Obviously a test-drive is encouraged to reassure your investment. This can be gladly coordinated with advance notice. DOCUMENTATION: Owner is happy to supply whatever documentation he has procured over the course of his ownership. Buyer will be expected to sign a customary Buyer's Agreement Form with the usis/where-is language before vehicle is removed. BiN $40,000 but reached $16,100 (RnM) on March 15 and $20,100 on April 6, 2017. |
