| Car history: |
| LS5 454 390 Hp/ 500 Tq. CZU suffix code followed by 70s411 then the 366 is distorted. 3963512 block. Muncie 4 speed. Shifts smooth and tight. Originally a White car, Previous owner painted red. Black Interior, new carpet installed in summer of 08'. New Ecklers Chambered Exhaust in summer of 08'. Rear Posi Fluid was changed in summer of 08' , the rear clutches will stick if the car sits along time. Tires were new when i putchased the car. I put maybe 500 miles on the car since i purchased it in 2007. The car was painted red almost 20 years ago but is still good enough to take to car shows. Interior is in great shape. there are no crack, hole, rip or anything. The Fiber optics work good. The Car has the original Astro air glass with removable rear window, and chrome. The weather stripping is tight for its age. The car is a No hit body. Original corvette fenders have 2 dents on the inside of the wheel wells which allow for tire clearance. This car has that. There were two different front grilles on the 70. One that was smooth and one that had mounting holes for the screws. The smooth one was more desirable. This car has it. The Fan Blade on the 1970 Corvettes was a Notched blade as compared to the regular ones you see on similar yeared cars. This one has the notched blade. The Transmission in this car is either the M 21 or M22. The M22's were knows to whine hence the name rock crusher in first second and third gear but not fourth due to the 1 to 1 gear ratio. This car does just that though that isn't a sure way to know other than dropping the tank and finding the tank sticker or tearing the transmission apart. The car has tilt/telescopic, power windows, power steering and power brakes. The car isn't perfect. Though it is pretty damn nice. It gets lots of compliments at the car shows, especially with the LS5 corvette 454. Little things that make this car imperfect. Windows stop working occasionally, (fuses). Horn doesn't work (there is a short in the line with the tilt/telescopic). Fuel Gauge needs a new wire to tank and the vaccum system for the windshield washer tray needs looked at (this was an issue on all of these vettes, there is a manual over ride if you desire to ride in the rain; not me haha). The Car is truly a great piece of american history. driver manifold 3969869. block pad 0522 CZU 70s411 then the last is distorted. 44,138 miles from the odometer. Colors from the owner. January 21, 2010. |
