Corvette Stingray Coupe with the LS5 package. This is a Bill Of Sale car, Alabama doesn't keep titles for cars this old, so you will only get a Bill of Sale with th e car. This Corvette is mostly original but unfortunately it does NOT come with the original 454 engine, the original engine was replaced with a 350 engine. It does not appear that the gas tank has ever been removed so the original build sheet is probably still on top of the gas tank. The original color of the car was Blue, but a previous owner painted it white. It is not that great of a paint job, looks decent from 20 feet away or going down the road, but it needs some love. I bought this car several months ago because I planned on doing a full restoration of the vehicle, but plans have changed and I really don't have the time. This is the perfect project car because you can actually drive it on day 1 and fix it up a little at a time. Or do a complete restoration on the car, it is an LS5, which is a pretty rare setup. The car is very solid, straight and it looks decent as well. This car is over 40 years old, so don't expect a new car, it needs plenty of attention, mostly cosmetic fiberglass work, but this would make a great restoration car. I've tried to take pictures of the underneath and the wheel wells to give you an idea of the condition of the car. Performance wise, the car starts right up, drives straight and the power steering works great. The brakes are not that great but they do work. I installed a new master cylinder, but I'm assuming that the calipers will need to be replaced or the lines will need to be bled. The 400 turbo transmission shifts out nice as well. There is slight clunk when letting off the gas really fast, I've read that it is a rubber gasket that goes on the drive train, or something to that affect. The site made it seem like it wasn't a big deal, but I never looked into it. Here are list of items and whether they are working or not: Tires: Great condition, estimated 85 per cent tread remaining Exhaust: Original exhaust but sounds great! Headlights: Yes Turn signals: Yes Wipers: No Power Steering: Yes Air Conditioning: No Blower Motor: Intermittent Speedometer: Yes Tachometer: Yes Odometer: No Brake Lights: Yes Running Lights: Yes Radio: Yes Gauges: All gauges work except for the water temp gauge. The car does cool as it should though. Power Windows: Yes, but windows are very slow Glass: Appears to be all original glass. Sold for $8,301 on July 2, 2016, but sold again for $9,750 on July 9, 2016 |
