04/30/2014 1974 Corvette original 454 turbo 400 that was equipped with factory air( a/c components are not included). I have paperwork on this car that goes back to the original owner. This car was converted to a street machine in the early to mid 80's. This conversion was with the addition of rear quarters with flares & a replacement front end with Monza lights and L-88 hood. As you can see in the pictures, a one piece tail with spoiler has also been added. I had intentions of putting this machine back on the street as a weekend cruiser, but I have run out of time and money for this project. The 454 was rebuilt loosely based on the LS6 from 1970. The engine has Sealed Power dome pistons, 284XE Comp Cam, Edelbrock Air-Gap intake, heads have 2.19 & 1.72 stainless valves, Comp Cam springs, retainer, locks. It has a 770 cfm Holley Street Avenger carb. The engine has 0 miles and has only been run to break in the cam for 3 hours. The trans was rebuilt with a B&M Holeshot big block converter and shift kit added. I put new replacement trans lines on the car The engine has an HEI ignition on it, and also comes with an additional new HEI ignition with tach drive uninstalled. I may install the tach drive distributor, and if so I will keep the std HEI dist. The engine uses it's original heads and they are held in place with ARP head bolts. Again this project vette was built as a street machine with the Hooker side pipes, and as such, the creature comforts have been left out. The A/C components under the dash and also the lines going to the front are still there, but the condenser & compressor have been removed. The heater core is not hooked-up to keep the engine compartment clean. I have replaced the front end components including: all control arm bushing, upper and lower, all ball joints, upper and lower, sway bar bushings, idler arm, tie rod ends & sleeves are included, but not installed. I rebuilt the rear of the car to include the trailing arms bushings and bearings on both sides. I replaced all u-joints on the car with high strength ones on both driveshaft & half shafts. The brake system was totally replaced to include front rotors, all calipers, hard lines, soft lines, hardware, emergency brake cables, power booster & master cylinder. I replaced the fuel tank, sender, gas cap, and fuel lines with new components. The power steering pump and hoses have been replaced. The water pump & fuel pump are also new as is the wiper motor, hoses, belt, radiator and battery . I installed a 105 amp chrome one wire alt. and also (2) 12 inch electric fans. The rims are vintage Western wheels with new 255/60R15 on front and new 275/60R15 on the rear. The driver side window motor has been replaced with a new one and both window regulators have been rebuilt. I have replaced the outer mirror with a new one. The power window switches are new, as is the Med Saddle carpet for the complete interior. The interior is original and has some cracks in the 40 year old vinyl on the dash, instrument console, and center console. The center set of gauges do not work, but I think it is a ground, so I am going to check to see if I can get them working before the sale. The weather stripping has been changed also. The seats are not Corvette seats, but they do not look out of place to me. The frame has no rust and no accident damage. The car was painted 12 years ago with base coat clear coat and the clear coat could use a re-spray as it has a few issues where it needs replacement. The car shines great from just a few feet away. I am sure that I am forgetting some things as I list this car, but I have a folder full of receipts that go with the car. I wish I could keep it and finish it, but with a new baby, there is not much room for a car seat.
