The car was manufactured at the St Louis assembly plant & was originally supplied in Mulsanne Blue (2465) with Dark blue interior & Black hood. The car has had a colour change to metallic silver some time ago & although not the finest quality paint job it is still very presentable & polishes up nicely. The car is very original & other than the colour change remains exactly as it left the factory. This is a matching numbers car which has not been modified at all & retains all its original features such as the original wheels and trims, original manifolds on the 350 V8 & the original hood which is in fantastic condition. The original interior is very presentable with no damage whatsoever. The car starts easily & runs well, having been registered and in regular use on the road in LA before importation to the UK. The third generation Corvette (C3) started production in 1968, and in 1969 the 350 cubic inch (5.7 L) engine became available along with the reintroduction of the name Stingray. This chrome bumper incarnation is often regarded as the most attractive and desirable. The 1971 model is a sweet spot as this is the last of the chrome bumper cars before the emissions restrictions began reducing horse power in 1972.
