05/28/2014 This car was taken from a garage where it set with the original owner for 10 years, this guy gave it to his daughters husband who then put new radiator, gas tank, carburetor, all new vacuums for head lamps, new brakes, new tires and a new paint job in 2008. That was just what this car needed to get her back on the road. I purchased the car in 2011 and replaced the front and rear bumper with true flex bumpers. The car has been garage kept for the majority of its life it is however missing the original radio and fan guard, the a/c compressor is here with the car it was never put back on we purchased it this way and it is the original a/c compressor for this car. It still has the original spare never used bolted and latched with the original factory lock. This is the L-48 version it has a factory alarm that works correctly. It's not easy to find a Corvette that is this original. My health has turned for the worst last year and I have not been able to enjoy this car, it was sitting during the winter when I pulled it out of the garage to drive when it warmed up it developed a popping noise from the rear of the car after 30 minutes or so of driving every time I get in it. I just don't have the time or patients to work on it anymore I am ready to pass it on. We had the main u joints replaced and also replace the u joints on one of the side shafts but that did not fix the problem. I'm told it could be the driver side shafts u joints or it could be the wheel bearings. Worst case something in the rear end. Also the tach cable does not work it's a small gear that needs to be replaced in the distributor $25.00 easy fix. The paint on this car 1 being poor and 10 being show, to me looks like a 7. It is a great driver quality, really does have a nice shine but is by far not perfect. Paint job was sprayed in 2008 but has no runs or orange peel, but does have imperfections such as couple small bubbles on the T-top you can see in the pictures. Few small bubbles on the front of the hood and few chips on the back of the driver door at the bottom also seen in pictures. Also has a couple scratches here and there I took pictures, they might even wax out. Please refer to pictures there is a small nick in the passenger door. I described and took as many pictures as I could of this car to make sure you know what your getting. Car does run great, shifts great and feels strong. Nice car but health issues won't let me fix the popping noise from the rear. Kenny.
