1979 Vette. White with Red interior and t-tops. 350/automatic trans. It's got a freshly rebuilt motor with about 200 miles on it. The engine runs great! It's not the original engine that came with the car, but has all the original specifications including factory intake, quadrajet carb and factory exhaust manifolds. (no performance additions with the exception of an MSD Streetfire Distributor). New and functioning A/C compressor and drier. All the ventilation works properly. New headlight accuators so headlights go up and down. All interior and exterior lights work including the interior delay. (courtesy light stays on for 30 seconds after you exit the car). New fan clutch, radiator and heater control valve. New master cylinder and new calipers all the way around. New alternator and battery. The power windows work fine. The power door locks do not. Probably has something to do with the factory security system because the horn doesn't work either. Has the original jack and spare tire. It has been painted once, but needs to be sanded and painted again. It's an old laquer paint job and has "chill bumps and a few blisters". numerous scratches. Has the original interior. The red leather seat covers need replacing as does the carpet. The door panels and dash are in good shape. Also could use some new weather striping on the doors and t-tops. It sat up for a long time. The tires on it have plenty of tread but are 19 years old and show signs of dry rot.(production date of 1992) Drives fine around town, but I haven’t taken it on the interstate. The frame is solid. Very little rust if any. The front suspension is tight. Needs some new bushings on the rear. Has a p/s fluid leak coming from the power cylinder. The tach needs a new circuit board and the clock doesn't work. I think that covers it. I have spoken to the original owner who lost it in his divorce in 1985. It was bought here in Birmingham.
