03/24/2014 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe T-Top Big Block LS5 454 365HP, 4 speed manual with Factory Air and Power steering. Car has brand new tires, new front springs, brakes, new gas tank, new oil pan, Ecklers' imitation Corvette radio/speakers (Looks like original AM/FM Radio with MP3/iPhone cord) and new D.U.I. HEI ignition (I saved every single original part and screw from the car that was replaced). Runs/Drives well. It is an ORIGINAL and MATCHING NUMBERS CORVETTE. My friend bought the car 6 years ago from the ORIGINAL OWNER. He was the owners' mechanic and always serviced the car over the years. He was to old to begin a restoration project so he sold it to me a year later. After five years of looking at the car in my garage I also discovered that I really don't have the time or money to restore it right now. Its just sitting in my garage under a cover and I just bought a new Corvette. Its the last of the BIG BLOCK motors before pollution equiptment was required. Midnite Blue exterior and saddle brown interior. ALWAYS GARAGED AND COVERED. Drivable, but waiting to be restored. The Corvette was built in Sept of 1970 and is 43 and 1/2 years old. It will be a valuble collectors' vehicle when restored. Vehicle was repainted by original owner at time of purchase (From factory code 983 Brands Hatch Green to Midnight Blue). No history paperwork or build sheet. Vehicle in accident during its life. A/C not working but complete. Reverse/2nd gear syncro not working properly, although car drives without any problems. Windshield wipers not working, probably vacuum line. Paint OK some scratches. All gauges work except clock. Hood is not original to car original owner replaced original hood with L88 hood. Surface rust on frame - nothing significant. Headlights function up and down - passenger side sticks occasionally - again, probably vacuum line.
