| Car history: |
For Sale: Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this very low mileage and correct 1980 Corvette in spectacular condition. This car looks and drives awesome. It needs nothing and is ready to be enjoyed. It is essentially 100% turn key and ready to be driven. It is finished in one of the most rare and desirable color combinations of Blue over Blue Leather. I cannot even count the number of compliments I have received about the color of this Corvette. The low mileage is supported by not only the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title stating the mileage as "actual." This Corvette is an exceptional driver and I wouldn't hesitate to hop in and take a road trip.
Exterior: The Blue exterior is in stunning driver condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has dazzling gloss and smooth finish. Often many Corvettes will have particularly chipped up front ends, this car does not. There are no major scratches, scrapes, or other imperfections that have been excluded form the photos. There may be some small blemishes that were too small to show up in photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from five feet away. There are also some very small spots on the hood and front fenders, but they were almost too small to show up in photos. I included a specific photo to show them, however they are hardly noticeable at all and almost invisible in natural light. The tires look almost brand new. This Corvette came equipped with aluminum wheels, which are in great condition with absolutely no curb rash. The bumpers have not shrunken or faded and fit well to the car. This Corvette has absolutely NO rust issues. The frame is totally solid with no rust in front of the rear tire and I have seen no evidence of corrosion around the windshield. The Corvette looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Interior: The Dark Blue interior of the Corvette is in magnificent condition. The seats look literally brand new with no rips, tears, or split seams. They are not worn in the typical areas such as where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is in nice condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear carpet with is often neglected. The console is in great condition and fits well as it should with a car of this mileage. The door panels are in great shape with no splits or damage and unlike many Corvettes of this age, they fit well and tight to the door. The dash is not cracked or sun faded. Please note that detail items, such as the pulls for the rear compartment doors, have not been pulled through on this car. The original pedal pads are not excessively worn, and as one can see from the pictures, show normal wear for a car with this mileage. This car has not been smoked in; there are no burn marks or aroma whatsoever. The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Mechanical: This Corvette is in great mechanical condition; it has no issues and is a great driver. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles well. The transmission shifts smoothly. All of the interior and exterior lights work, even the lights people usually don't even know about such as the light by the spare tire. The headlights pop up with no binding. The pull down vacuum switch for the headlights works as well. The a/c works. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock. The car drives terrifically; it is very tight on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The only item that I am aware of that does not work on the car is the cruise control. This is a minor issue that is present on 90% of the Corvettes we encounter, does no affect drivability, and most dealers would not disclose. This Corvette has plenty of power and is very fast. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the t-tops out on a nice day.
Overall Condition: Overall, this 1980 Corvette is in awesome condition. It always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of C3 Corvettes have steadily increased over the past several years, especially the 1980 and 1981 models. They are very solid investments for a collector. One could enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
