1971 LT1 350 Convertible 4-speed Corvette Red with white top and black interior which is original colors. This is Last Year of the Muscle car. I went to the Carlise Corvette show last year and started talking with a man that owned a restoration business. He had been a NCRS Judge and had this exact car except it had the 454 Motor. I asked him what he thought my car would be worth if it was 100% restored. He told me that the 1971 was the next money car. I asked him what this meant he said that all of the 1970's had been bought up and hard to get a hold of. The 1971 was the next car in line for buyers to find and restore. He said, which has been a long time coming since really it was the last year of the Muscle Car. He told me this car would be worth from 100,000 to 135,000 dollars when completed. This is a project for the Corvette enthusiast. This car is a 100% original car, all matching numbers. I started this project and just do not have the time to finish it. My hope is that someone will buy this project and finish my dream, and that is to completely restore this beautiful car to 100% original condition. I have completely torn this car down. I sand blasted the frame, primed and repainted. I have also sand blasted primed and repainted almost every part on the chassis. Almost every bolt on the chassis has been sandblasted and Zinc coated when required and placed in a bag that represents the head markings for the part it is attaching to the chassis. This car is 100% original except for the drivers left door panel which was replaced with an after market part. I have bought many New OEM parts for this car that come with this offer. This car looked great with a 4 year old paint job and was running perfect when I decided to restore it. The engine which is a 350, 330 horsepower only has about 10,000 mile on it after I completely rebuilt it. To prove my desire to make this car 100% original, the cam for this car can no longer be purchased, so I had crane make the exact cam specs for this engine to make sure it was the same as original. The body of this car is almost perfect,(NO DAMAGE) other than stripping it and repainting. The seats are in almost perfect condition other than replacing the foam, you will have a perfect original seat. I did not take the seat covers off so that the seats would not get damaged in storage. The wiring harness is completely intact and I marked where every connector went to make it easier to hook back up. This car has been in Colorado all of its life until I moved to PA a year ago. There is no rust damage to the frame or connecting parts. The doors, hood, back hatch, and hood have no rust on the metal parts. The convertible top has a new weather strip kit on it. Listed below are the new oem parts I have purchased.
Tail lights, U-joints for the half links, bearings for the front and rear wheels, chrome engine parts, fuel pump, U-joints for drive shaft, inner outer bearings for front and rear wheels, master cyl.
