Heavy Duty Cooling {Freon replaced summer 2011} This “Classic Corvette” is for the serious minded investor. It is the last of the C3 Shark era; has ALL matching numbers & has “never” been in an accident. 1982 was the debut of the “Cross-Fire Injection” fuel delivery system. No 1983's made & 1984 became the beginning of a new era. Low miles on a 1982 Corvette this age would be 75,000 miles {2,500 miles per year}. At barely over 21,000 miles, this would still make this sports car “a mere child”. We purchased her DEC 2003 at 18,000 miles. This is the sleek two-tone silver claret red {for now only available in 1981 & 1982}. I honestly didn’t want a beige Collector’s edition. While beautiful, I just saw too many of them out on the road. This Corvette, & color combination is in fact, the 2nd one I’ve owned. This Corvette was “professionally” updated in September 2005, at 19,400 miles then, for a combination of safe driving & renovation purposes only {to include all genuine & new GM DELCO parts}. We have also retained the original EAGLE GT’s. The originals are in excellent shape {a lot of tread left}, but I didn’t want to take a chance, however, in having a 23-yr old tire possibly blow out & wreck a low mileage car. We, had, however stored the orignal Eagle GT's for possible use down the road. The Freon for Air Conditioner was replaced during Summer 2011; and the heater core replaced DEC 2011 {it was the only reason for towing; She was driveable during cool weather, but "this mom" doesn't allow this baby on the roads during rain or snow}. As well, she's always been garage kept {very well cared for}.
