1972 Corvette convertible, black exterior, tan leather interior, tan convertible top and black hardtop. This is a very nice driver in good condition. Numbers matching 350 ci motor with 4-speed manual transmission. The frame and transmission numbers have not been verified but they are original to the car as far as I can tell. The original exterior color was white but the car was painted sometime before I purchased it 12 years ago. It has an AM/FM cassette from Eckler’s Corvettes and an amplifier located in the center storage compartment in the rear. It has 121,600 miles. A partial restoration was done sometime before I purchased the car. Based on condition, my guess is that the carpet and door panels were replaced, but the dash and seats are original. Mechanically, all I've done is replace the water pump and change the oil regularly since I've owned it. I've driven the car less than 18,000 miles and can count on one hand the number of times it's been in the rain since I've owned it. Under the hood, the coil and water pump are not original, but I'm not aware of any other replacements. The car has been appraised at $26,500 by Still Cruisin’ Corvettes… they “rate the overall condition as very good… an excellent driver”. To be as accurate as possible, here are the issues that I know exist: 1. Vacuum control - must use override to open and close the headlights and the wiper door does not close once the wipers are turned off, but it can be pushed down after stopping and stays down until the wipers are turned on - Vacuum troubleshooting guide included. 2. Clock does not work, all other gauges work. 3. Passenger side parking light lens has a screw hole too large for the screw. 4. Some cracks in the dash on the driver's side, visible from outside the car, 5. Rock chip in the windshield approximately 1/4 inch, 6. The seats show wear, but no tears or splits. 7. Tires have good tread but are 12+ years old. BIN @ $25,000. Color codes from the owner. Built date is L17. 21,5?9 miles from th h odometer. April 28, 2010. |
