| Car history: |
This awesome 1974 Corvette Stingray comes with a 350 GM crate engine, with about 25,000.00 miles on it and a four-speed Muncie transmission.
Other upgrades are: New front and rear bumper covers Newly sanded and primed gray (note: the paint shop forgot the inside of the doors and the inside wells of the lights) New brakes Brand new set of four Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires
Replaced the speedometer cable however a new plastic gear needs to be replaced. It's just a matter of jacking the car up and checking which one to get. Best to get a visual or take the gear off and get the exact one.
There IS a smog control on the car. Not being familiar with all of California smog requirements, don't know if it is sufficient or necessary.
No warranty - This is a project car after all and there are a few things you might want to do, some are required to pass inspection, some are cosmetic:
Needs new carpet set Needs weather-strips Paint job of course!
In order to pass Virginia inspection, the vehicle needs a gasket for one exhaust pipe. It would be about $200 at Menieke
The passenger side seat belt needs to be replaced to pass inspection. Emergency brake seems weak and probably just needs an adjustment. There is a vacuum leak relating to the heater switch, i.e., when you change the settings sometimes it doesn't work properly - probably a diaphram but haven't had time to check it further. There is no A/C so it should not be too diffucult to find the problem.
