Choice Auto Brokers of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is proud to present this classic American Sports Car. This 1974 Corvette Coupe may not have all of the refinements and bells and whistles of the current models, but 5 minutes behind the wheel of this car will remind you what a Corvette is REALLY about. It came from the factory with a 350 cubic inch L48 V8 rated at 195 hp and 275 lb- ft of torque. The motor appears to have been recently rebuilt, and its safe to say those numbers are not close to what the car puts out now. We have not dyno tested the car, but our seat-of-the-pants-o-meter tells us power has been increased significantly over a stock L48. Unfortunately, we do not have details on exactly what has been done to the car. Not only does it run fantastic, it sounds GREAT, thanks to the side exhaust. THIS is how a V8 should sound. The car is in very good shape, especially for a '74. The bright red paint shines briliantly. We didn't find any exterior body defects, but we did spot some rust at the upper forward edge of the driver's door frame, and on the door jamb there as well - the other side is fine. The interior is in good shape with no big holes or tears on the seats. The interior has not been redone like the motor, but its holding its own. There is no A/C, and the stock radio does not work. The power windows do work. The Stingray is still our favorite body style for the Corvette, and this one takes us back to a time when a simpler, more brute-force kind of sports car was built.
