Nice 1969 chevrolet corvette stingray convertible with both soft top and hard top. The vin number and the numbers on the engine are a match, and the engine only has just under 77 k original miles. It's marked box A on the title even. This vehicle is running but does need some tlc. Numbers for the car are Engine Casting # 3932386 (350ci, 300hp, 350hp. Engine casting date K 9 8. Engine serial # 19S708059, engine configuration # V1I12HX, Body Trim Tag is D18, Paint code is 984. Transmission number is 3925660 (M20 68-69 3925660 2.52 1.88 1.46 1.00 10 2 1-inch 27) According to the Ending Vehicle # this car was made in Oct - Nov 1968. The body is in very good condition aside from the driver side door has a few small chunks missing from the hinges, and the front grill on the passenger side is partially missing. You can see both well in the photos. The frame is straight though it appears to have been hit on passenger side rear tire well area. The interior is all original and could use replacing. The seats have some tears in them, also visable in the photos. There are original seat belts, mirrors, radio etc. The glass for the windows and windshield are in excellent condition, as well as original. The soft top has no tears or cracks and is in great condition for the age. The engine suffix is HX making it 350 ci, 350 hp. This is a 4 speed manual transmission.. In the past month I've put an edelbrock competition series carburtor on it, replaced the fuel pump, and some hoses, and the distributor cap. It runs, and the engine sounds good. This vehicle does have factory air and factory power steering. The air compressor is not installed atm and just sitting in place. I do have the parts for it, but the compressor is sized. Also I have new brake pads, shoes and a master cylinder for this, waiting to be installed. I have several original parts for this that I've kept when something has been replaced. I still have several parts as you can see that I have not put back on the vette. I do have all 4 original gm hub caps, a hubcap for the spare tire (there isnt a spare currently), the air filter, and the rest of the pieces for the air conditioning system. I also have the original floor mats. Just a few extra things about the car. It has not been registered since 81, I still have the license plate from back then. It had been stored in storage (properly) with the gas tank removed, cleaned out etc. The head lamps and rear lights are all original. The head lights raise when turned on and you rev the engine. I am missing most of the letters for the back corvette emblem. Both tops hard and soft work properly and fit well. With a little tlc this car would be perfect. A new paint job, new interior and a few small area's on the body! 76,984 miles. Colors from the trim plate. May 5, 2008. |
