| Engine Numbers match car and miles are correct at 45,351 The engine is a 350 ci, 300 horse. The motor is equipped with a mild street performance cam original intake and 4 barrel carb. The original exhaust manifolds were changed and a set of headers were installed. The previous owner did most of the work to the car he said car has a set of double-hump heads that are supposed to be a plus for this car. We just replaced the water pump upper and lower hoses and heater core hoses also. Motor is VERY STRONG runs and idles good. This car is a blast to drive. The car is equipped with a manual 4 speed, the clutch is very good no slipping or jumping out of gear. Emergency brake works also. The car is equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes but are not power assisted, neither is the steering. There are 4 new Michelin tires all beauty rings are good except one that shows little scratches probably from a curb not big enough to be an eyesore. The interior is in great shape, The seats are black vinyl and in great shape. Carpet is is in same condition also. There are no cuts or cracks in dash. Radio was changed to a tape deck but nothing was cut to make it fit. All gauges, lights instruments even clock still work. We still have removable arm rest that slips on console by emergency brake handle. This model can be ran as a Hardtop, Black Ragtop or Convertible. The soft top is great, window is not cracked there is a small flaw almost looks like was poked with something like razor blade only one half inch or less hardly noticeable. Hard top is great not cracked all rubber is good glass not blemished. Finally the paint is yellow, may need to be buffed or wet sanded to make the color really stand out after all the car has been sitting in a barn for the past 15 years with minimal use. The trim plate shows paint number 983 which comes up green, this leads us to belive car was repainted not 100% sure. If it was there is no noticeable over spray or green popping out. The chrome is really nice no terrible pitting or large loose flakes. the trim under door and front fender is good may need to be polished or cleaned with some kind of cleaner. Overall really nice shine not spidered or nicked up. The frame was looked over by several vette guys said was in good to great shape for not being cleaned up or painted with anything. Everything was said to be real solid, looked as if car has hardly seen rain. The pics I took of the car shows several shades of yellow due to poor lighting, the car is all the same shade no worries about color and the frame pics are the best I could get without a lift if you have questions or want to see it there is no problems with that. also i had a hard time with the block # pic. There is no reason to think # are not real. 45,480 miles. Colors from the trim plate. February 26, 2008. |
