| 1970 corvette convertible that I planned on restoring and making into a big block clone. It comes with an original big block hood that is in excellent condition and also a complete 454 Big Block with casting code 3963512 and a date code of H-13-9 that is perfect for this year corvette. The body is straight and looks to be unhit, the frame is super solid and rustfree. It shows 69000 miles on it that I believe to be correct just by the overall condition of the car. I bought the car out of Ohio and it comes with that states title also showing the same milage. Maine does not have titles for the older cars so it comes with bill of sale only. Front of the car has a nice front bumper with good chrome, nice undamaged headlights, has the optional headlight washers, nice complete front grills. The radiator and shroud have been removed but are included, the radiator support is not rotted and in excellent shape. It comes with a small block engine that is not original to the car, it does have the original Muncie 4-speed transmission in it. I have A M-22 rockcrusher 4-speed that is available but not included in the auction. The wiper door assembly is complete and not brocken or frozen. The windshield frame does have a small amount of rust and would need some repair, the windshield also is cracked and would need to be replaced. The dash and gauges look great and still has its original radio. The top needs to be replaced, the rear bumpers are original and have nice chrome. I believe the car had rear wheel bearing trouble and was taken off the road and never repaired, hence the low milage and overall great shape of this car.The drivers side rear 1/2 shaft was removed and looks like they started to work on that side, and then never finished the repair?? This car is an excellent project that has great potential. 69,000 miles. Colors from the owner. June 23, 2008. |
